One World AkzoNobel

Dinner on 14 April 2016 at the Ilanga Suite of OR Tambo’s Southern Sun hotel in Johannesburg was an exceptional experience for Coatings Industry Customers of AkzoNobel from in and around Gauteng, as they were treated to a journey of excellence spanning AkzoNobel’s global reach and capabilities in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.

The purpose of this event was to present a unified Performance Coatings business platform to the South African market, displaying the breadth of product and technology options available to customers within the performance coatings stable. These included Vehicle Refinishes, Aerospace Coatings, Yacht and Marine coatings, Protective Coatings, Powder Coatings, Metal Coatings and the Dulux range of products.

The McLaren MP4 spider (exhibited courtesy of Mclaren S.A a Daytona luxury vehicle company) and Mercedes AMG GTS V8 Turbo (courtesy of AMG performance Centre, Bedfordview – with thanks to  Graeme Wood and Jason Lopes) encompassed various coatings applications, and the Share Fair on display for each different Coating Business, gave visual context to current coatings applications in use today.

The relaxed atmosphere of the evening created opportunities for sales staff to network and build relationships with customers from various market segments.
